-The only way to better my Spanish is to speak it.
-Yogurt comes in large bottles and is a more like a thin yogurt drink than something you would ever consider eating with a spoon with granola mixed in.
-The Peruvian version of oatmeal is "avena"
-To get water at a restaurant, you must order "agua helada sin gas" which translates roughly to: frozen water without gas. If you order "agua" you will get carbonated water at room temperature. Apparently there is a superstition here that if you drink cold drinks you will get a cold!
-CBS.com (aka- ability to watch Survivor online) "is not available in your region"-- triste.
-Living is inexpensive here. Except buying splenda.
-Milk comes in a box carton and is kept on the pantry shelf until it is opened, then you refrigerate it.

The sweet puppy at the airport. We were guessing she was a present for somebody arriving on a flight. Kept on running around and sprawling out when her oversized paws couldn't quite keep traction on the floor! Too precious.

The darling dog I could see from our window. He was just looking at me like he wanted his picture taken. I also think he was saying "I think you have a room mate back home named Caki who loves dogs and would melt at this face I'm making"
